Being Jr. Winterfest Captain has been such an amazing experience for Ben and has exceeded our expectations!
Initially when he won, we almost backed out several times as we were afraid how he would handle all the noise and activities.
Ben has autism and these kinds of experiences are not typical for children like him.
Not only did he do amazing at both the Grand Marshal event and the boat parade*, but he had the most wonderful time ever.
His smiles say everything that he cannot verbalize and when he looks at the pictures you can see how happy and proud he is!”

*The organizers of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade, FPL, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and the Winterfest Foundation worked together to have Ben and the Jr. Captain Showboat featured in the Pompano Parade after the unprecedented weather cancelled Winterfest.
